International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) today announced the completion of its acquisition of Sandoz Industrial Products GmbH, a Frankfurt-Höchst based manufacturer of enzyme-based fermentation products and intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry, from Novartis Group.

Sandoz Industrial Products GmbH will be re-named Corden BioChem GmbHand will be associated with the CordenPharma Group, the pharma platform of ICIG. Corden BioChem will be complementary to both ICIG’s pharma activities as well as to its fine chemicals activities within the WeylChem Group. The site represents an important additional building block of fermentation-based production technology for ICIG.

ICIG is focused on the continuation and further development of Corden BioChem with the enzymatic 7-ACA business for antibiotics applications at the Höchst site, serving customers worldwide as well as the CordenPharma Latina site in Italy.

International Chemical Investors Group schließt Übernahme des Sandoz Standorts in Frankfurt-Höchst ab

International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) hat heute die Übernahme der Sandoz Industrial Products GmbH in Frankfurt-Höchst von der Novartis Gruppe abgeschlossen. Sandoz Industrial Products stellt Enzym-basierte Fermentationsprodukte und Zwischenprodukte für die Pharmaindustrie her.

Sandoz Industrial Products GmbH wird in Zukunft als Corden BioChem GmbHfirmieren und Teil der CordenPharma Gruppe, der Pharma-Plattform von ICIG. Corden BioChem ergänzt dabei nicht nur die Pharmaaktivitäten der ICIG, sondern erweitert ebenfalls das Feinchemiegeschäft, das ICIG innerhalb der WeylChem Gruppe betreibt. Der Standort in Höchst bildet für beide Geschäftsfelder einen wichtigen Baustein zur Erweiterung ihres Angebots an fermentationsbasierten Produktionsverfahren.

ICIG konzentriert sich auf die Fortentwicklung der Corden BioChem und die Weiterführung des enzymatischen 7-ACA Geschäfts für Antibiotika-Anwendungen im Industriepark Höchst. Von dort werden sowohl Kunden weltweit als auch der eigene CordenPharma Standort in Latina in Italien beliefert.
